Executive Director (Full-Time)
The Columbia Museum of Art, Columbia, SC, seeks an Executive Director to lead this AAM-accredited museum into its next era. The successful candidate will have a minimum of eight years of senior-level leadership experience within a museum, arts nonprofit, or comparable mission-driven institution, with a demonstrated passion for the visual arts. The Executive Director will serve as the chief staff fundraiser and primary spokesperson, elevating the CMA’s profile locally, regionally, and nationally. The role calls for a record of significant fundraising success, preferably including capital-campaign experience, strategic vision, strong operational and financial acumen, and the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture. A genuine enthusiasm for embracing the unique culture of Columbia and South Carolina is essential, along with a commitment to being a visible and persuasive advocate for the arts.
