Walking Tour: Main Street Columbia

Saturday, June 22, 2019
11:00 a.m and 1:00 p.m.

Offering more than one hundred and fifty years' worth of architectural trends, Columbia's Main Street is a physical legacy of its citizens' aspiration and accomplishments. Join Historic Columbia to see the city's oldest "skyscraper," an IBM-punch-card-inspired office building and the State Capitol. Walk through Columbia's first indoor shopping mall and learn how an old department store became an art museum.

Allow approximately 60 minutes for this tour. Meet at Boyd Plaza 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour. $10 / $5 for CMA and Historic Columbia members / 17 and under free. No preregistration; walkup tickets only. Weather permitting.

This project is supported by a grant from the Knight Foundation Fund at Central Carolina Community Foundation.
