Painting Principles

Monday-Friday, June 24-28, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Ages 8 - 12

This camp explores paints from tempera to watercolor and beyond. Campers  learn about different styles of painting throughout the centuries and even paint on easels en plein air like modern-day Impressionists.

$225 / $180 for Solo members and above

Instructor: Mary Hendrix

Mary Hendrix earned a Bachelor of Science degree in art from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts degree in the art of teaching from the University of South Carolina. She has taught art in a myriad of institutions including senior citizens centers, psychiatric hospitals, private schools, and public schools.

This camp has the Lunch Buddies option, which means these campers can stay all day from morning camp through afternoon camp. Lunch Buddies bring their own brown bag lunch, must be registered for both morning and afternoon camps, and pay a $25 fee.
