First Citizens Bank Family Day

Join us for a Family Fun Day to celebrate Van Gogh and His Inspirations with exhibition-themed activities and programming for the entire family, from hands-on art making to musical performances and more.

Activities include:

• Entertainment from Puppet Time Machine Theatre, a traveling musical theatre company — with puppets. The performances, running for 45 minutes and starting at 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., are followed by meet-and-greets with the cast
• Hands-on artmaking stations where children and adults alike can create watercolor postcards, tissue paper poppies, and textural sheep relief sculpture
• Van Gogh selfie station
• Activities in the Cross Hatch, an interactive gallery for all ages
• Open galleries, including featured exhibitions Van Gogh and His Inspirations, En Plein Air: Scenes of South Carolina, and Seeing Through the Layers: Linocuts by Maryanna Williams
• Guided public tours of Van Gogh and His Inspirations at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
• Van Gogh-themed family activity guides and art explorer totes that keep children engaged while touring the galleries
• Play on the Plaza with design challenges and big blue blocks, perfect for all ages and abilities

$5 for adults / free for members and ages 18 and under. Includes gallery admission
