Educator Workshop: History Through Images and Objects
February 27, 2021
9:30 am-4:30 pm
Social studies isn’t just about documents — images and objects provide wonderful insights for students at any level. Join us to discuss how visual images fit into the social studies curriculum (including the new standards), how to think critically about images designed to persuade, and what assessments with object-centered learning can look like. Participants will receive a CMA digital image kit.
All materials provided. Registration fee includes gallery admission, lunch, and one digital copy of the CMA social studies toolkit. Participants will earn seven hours of professional renewal credit. Capacity limited to 10 participants to ensure physical distancing, and face coverings are required.
Priority registration for members only through Friday, January 22. $60 / $42 members. Join today!
Saturday, February 27, for middle and high school teachers (all subject areas)
This program was supported by a grant from Aflac, housed at Central Carolina Community Foundation.
