Art and storytelling collide in this cartooning camp. Campers will learn the essentials of visual storytelling as they design their own frame-by-frame layout and make their own multi-panel cartoon strips.
Instructor: Max Clyburn
Max Clyburn was born and raised in Columbia and has had a lifelong passion for art, technology, and just making things. With a background in design and filmmaking, he has been on both sides of a camera as a subject and creator. He was a manager and projectionist at the Nickelodeon Theatre and is now in the education and engagement department at the Columbia Museum of Art.
Many camps for ages 8 – 12 have the Lunch Buddies option, which means that campers can stay all day from morning camp through afternoon camp. Lunch Buddies bring their own brown bag lunch, must be registered for both morning and afternoon camps, and pay a $25 fee.
