Plan Your Visit

The CMA is undergiong renovations, but don't let that stop you from coming to visit!

Your museum will remain open throughout the entire process with a full schedule of exhibitions and programs. So please come and visit! Here’s the most up-to-date information to help you plan:

Current Effects on the Building

Right now both the first floor exhibition galleries and the second floor collection galleries are open. The CMA Shop is currently closed, but you can still shop online. Museum admission is half price throughout renovations.

We have a new entrance! Our new Main Street entrance is now open for visitors - look for the large glass awning and enter there! Our plaza entrance will be closed throughout the rest of the year, so the Main Street entrance is your access point for the museum.

Work is taking place in public spaces. Much of the first floor is blocked off for renovation work. Noise and activity levels change frequently so you may hear work going on as you visit.

Boyd Plaza is also undergoing renovations, and fencing surrounds the entire plaza. The CMA's entryway is on the Main Street side of the building.

Rentals

The CMA will be available for rentals throughout the renovation process. In fact, we’re offering a 20% renovation discount on rentals during this time.

However, as renovation work moves throughout the building, different areas will be unavailable for use for special events. Our projected schedule is:

Through March 2018
The second floor is unavailable for rent

May - November 2018
The first floor is unavailable for rent

Contact our rentals team to learn more.

Parking

Parking is completely unaffected by renovations. Metered parking is available on the street, and a city parking garage is available a block away at the corner of Taylor and Sumter Streets.
