SC residents get free general admission to the museum all summer long, May 24 – September 1.
The CMA features 27 galleries and plenty of ways to explore them, including multimedia tours, scavenger hunts, kids’ totes, and gallery games, plus coloring pages drawn by local artists and hands-on activities in The Cross Hatch.

Perspective Is On Display
June 15 - September 8, 2024
(Un)Settled features works by artists including Fidelia Bridges, Marsden Hartley, Georgia O’Keeffe, Benny Andrews, William Christenberry, Ana Mendieta, Ed Ruscha, Jeffrey Gibson, and Jacqueline Bishop. Through 40 artworks, including furniture, glass, ceramics, and baskets, the exhibition highlights the evolving conversations around landscape and its relationship to establishing cultural and national identity over the last two centuries.

Sergio Hudson: Focused on the Fit
Fashion Is On Display
November 18, 2023 - July 7, 2024
Sergio Hudson fell in love with fashion at 4 years old while living in Ridgeway, South Carolina, and has since become one of the biggest names in the industry, designing pieces for high-profile clients that include Michelle Obama, Beyonce, and Serena Williams. This exhibition showcases eight signature garments from key moments in his revolutionary career, along with more than 20 sketches and drawings exploring his rise from the early days winning Bravo’s Styled to Rock in 2013 up through the present day.
The exhibition is organized by the Columbia Museum of Art, South Carolina, in partnership with Sergio Hudson Collections, LLC and Community Curator Megan Pinckney Rutherford.
