COLUMBIA, SC - The Contemporaries, a Columbia Museum of Art membership affiliate group dedicated to engaging young professionals in the arts and philanthropy, will host its inaugural Fire & Ice Ball on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 8:00 p.m. until midnight at the Museum. This will be the Contemporaries' signature affair for the year and a major fundraiser for its art acquisition projects.
Promising to be the hottest event at the coolest place in town, the Fire & Ice Ball fuses elements of classic Contemporaries soirees with new and exciting additions. Not only will guests find the best culinary delights and exciting entertainment by Finesse Band and DJ Bois Obscur, but the party will also showcase art from the collections of local and regional South Carolina artists. Party-goers will get to bid on these works of art and have a piece of the night to take home with them. Guests are encouraged to don "cocktail chic" attire.
$65 / $50 for Contemporaries' members if purchased before January 23.
