# Columbia Museum of Art (CMA)
> The Columbia Museum of Art is South Carolina's premier international art museum, located in the heart of downtown Columbia. Established in 1950, the CMA celebrates outstanding artistic creativity through its collection of more than 8,800 works spanning thousands of years and representing a full range of world cultures, including Italian Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces from the Samuel H. Kress Collection.
