This camp is an introduction to the vast world of fiber art. We will explore creating 2D and 3D works of art through the use of traditional and nontraditional fiber art tools and techniques including felting, weaving, and surface design.
Instructor: Becca Hinton
Becca Hinton is the manager of community programs at the Columbia Museum Art, where she works with at-risk children in the Midlands area. She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in fiber art from Eastern Michigan University. Becca has years of experiencing teaching art to groups ranging from preschoolers to senior communities.
Many camps for ages 8 – 12 have the Lunch Buddies option, which means that campers can stay all day from morning camp through afternoon camp. Lunch Buddies bring their own brown bag lunch, must be registered for both morning and afternoon camps, and pay a $25 fee.
