Quincy Pugh is a dynamic visual artist whose work honors the Black Southern experience through layers of color, texture, and emotion. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art from Augusta University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina. Until his retirement in 2018, Pugh served as the film and sound manager at Richland Library, where he played a key role in coordinating exhibitions and working with artists across the country.

Now fully dedicated to his creative practice, Pugh creates work that celebrates his community while reflecting his love of nature, photography, and Abstract Expressionism. He paints primarily in oil and acrylic, capturing themes of struggle, joy, identity, and resilience. His pieces are known for their deep engagement with social justice, patriotism, and cultural identity.
