The CMA hosts its annual meeting to review fiscal year 2013, present awards to individuals for their service, and provide an update on Museum activities. In addition, the CMA announces the winner of the crowd-sourced fundraising initiative, “Be the Curator.” Seven art-loving volunteers each chose a piece from the Museum’s collection that is not currently on view and spent the better half of a year making pitches, through their own words and efforts, to their friends, family, and the public as to why their piece should win and be exhibited. The volunteer who raised the most money will have their piece placed on view this summer.
