He believes Pop artists were using the materials of popular culture for a wide variety of personal reasons, similar to the way earlier artists used mythology or the Bible. Collins specializes in contemporary American art with a special focus on Pop Art and Andy Warhol. A book signing follows the lecture. Books are available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
