Art in Focus: An Intro to Ground

Discover the foundation of new micro-exhibition Ground! Join co-curator and Kress Interpretive Fellow Erin Kuykendall for a tour of this newly reinstalled collection gallery. Exploring ideas from the exhibition as well as the creative processes behind it, this tour digs into the often-unseen work of exhibition development — how themes emerge, how artworks are selected, and how creative approaches in interpretation help connect visitors with the CMA Collection. Art in Focus is a series of spotlight talks in which scholars explore themes found in works on view at the CMA, offering an opportunity to discover new insights. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
