Mary Robinson Collage

Art Class: Printmaking with Collage

Saturdays, September 6 and 13 | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Explore the cut-and-paste techniques of collage, collagraphy, and chine collé in this two-day workshop. Use color, form, materials, tools, intuition, and intention to layer and design unique compositions with surprising results. Collage is a technique in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric, and other ephemera are arranged and adhered to a supporting surface. Collagraphy is a related printmaking process in which materials are glued to a backing board and an impression is made by inking and printing the constructed matrix. Chine collé is the simultaneous printing and adhering of thin Asian papers to heavier Western rag papers in the press. This workshop is appropriate for experienced printmakers as well as complete beginners. Ages 15 and up.

$120 / $96 for members. Priority registration for members only through Wednesday, July 9. Join today!

This class is sold out.
