Teen Program Application 2026–2027  

Thank you for interest in the Columbia Museum of Art’s Teen Council!  

Applications are due by August 14, 2026.

 

Teen Council offers students the opportunity to  

  • Learn more about how museums function behind the scenes 
  • Explore careers in the arts 
  • Meet with staff and local artists 
  • Create materials for museum guests to use

Meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through May, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. with extra meetings as needed. Collaboration and critical thinking are core aspects of this program. Students will be expected to contribute to conversation and have fun! Requirements

To apply for the Teen Council, you must: 

  • Be a High School student during the 2026–2027 school year 
  • Be interested in the arts and museums, you do not need to be an artist 
  • Commit to attending meetings every 2nd Thursday from 4:30–6:30 p.m. You are expected to attend every meeting, so before applying, please think about sports schedules, work schedules, and other extracurricular activities.

Key dates 

  • Teen Council meets every 2nd Thursday, September 10 – May 13, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Columbia Museum of Art.  
  • Applications open July 10, 2026 
  • Applications are due by midnight August 14, 2026 
  • In person or Zoom interviews will take place mid to late August.
