We will remain open throughout the entire process with a full schedule of exhibitions and programs on the first floor. So please come and visit us! Here’s the most up-to-date information to help you plan:

Current Effects on the Building

Right now the entire first floor is unaffected by renovations. Upstairs, the collection galleries are closed as art is removed for protection from the construction.

Pricing

Admission is reduced to half price throughout the process of renovations. 

Adults $6
Seniors $5
Military FREE. The CMA is a Blue Star Museum and offers free admission to all active duty military and their families between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  $5 after Labor day.
Students $2.50
Children (6 and under) FREE
Does not apply to groups.
   

We are also offering free admission on second Sundays throughout the process. Free admission on the second Sunday of each month includes featured exhibitions. 

Renovation pricing is partially funded through the Karen Brosius National Medal Fund. Free admission on second Sundays sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina

Group Tours and School Visits

Group tours and school visits are available and qualify for reduced admission throughout renovations. Get more information here

Rentals

The CMA will be available for rentals throughout the renovation process. In fact, we’re offering a 20% renovation discount on rentals during this time.

However, as renovation work moves throughout the building, different areas will be unavailable for use for special events. Our projected schedule is:

Through November 2017
The second floor is unavailable for rent

May - August 2018
The first floor is unavailable for rent

Boyd Plaza will be unaffected by renovations. Contact our rentals team to learn more.

Parking

Parking is completely unaffected by renovations. Metered parking is available on the street, and a city parking garage is available a block away at the corner of Taylor and Sumter Streets.
