Drawing 102 Workshop
Take your drawing to the next level with this one-day workshop taught by local art educator Mary Hendrix.
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The CMA is undergoing extensive renovations to provide more galleries, more studios, more spaces for programs, and a new entrance on Main Street. All of this is to give you more ways to enjoy seeing art, making art, attending events, and engaging in fun.
At the CMA, we’re committed to the concept of the 21st-century museum. We believe in being inclusive and participatory. We believe that art is meant to be experienced, not just seen. We are making your museum into a place brimming with activity and new ideas. We can’t wait to see what we’re going to do together next.
April 2016 - November 2017
During the planning phase for renovations, we removed all of the art from the collection galleries and moved it safely into storage, created additional art storage, repainted and repaired gallery cases, and conserved objects to prepare them to go on view in our new galleries. We also finalized renovation designs, created large and colorful banners tha hang along Main Street, added an artful awning to the CMA Shop, and completely modernized this website.

Second floor galleries closed during this phase.
You'll see 20 renovated galleries, a flexible event space complete with catering kitchen and restrooms, upgraded lighting, a renovated meeting space, and refreshed restrooms.
