Directions
Buses: Buses are allowed to temporarily park in front of Boyd Plaza on Hampton Street if they give Museum staff prior notification. Buses may park at Finley Park on Taylor Street after unloading in front of the Museum.
I-20 West from Florence, SC - turn off at SC 277 (Exit 73) toward Columbia. Stay on this freeway which becomes Bull Street. Follow Bull Street until it intersects with Hampton Street. Turn right and proceed to Main Street. The Museum is on the corner of Hampton and Main.
I-20 East from N. Augusta, SC - turn off at Exit 58 (US 1 toward West Columbia) and stay on this highway which becomes Meeting Street and then becomes Gervais Street after you cross the Congaree River. Turn left onto Assembly Street at the South Carolina State Capitol. Continue up Assembly Street until you reach Hampton Street. Turn right onto Hampton Street. The Museum is directly to your left on the corner of Hampton and Main.
I-26 East from Spartanburg, SC - follow I-126/US 76 toward downtown Columbia and exit at Elmwood Avenue. Turn right onto Assembly Street and continue until you reach Hampton Street. Turn left and the Museum will be to your left on the corner of Hampton and Main.
I-26 West from Charleston, SC - take the exit 111-B (US 1) and continue until you see the Congaree River. The street name changes from Meeting Street to Gervais Street after you cross the bridge. Proceed several blocks. At the South Carolina State Capitol, turn left onto Assembly Street. Continue up Assembly Street until you reach Hampton Street. Turn right onto Hampton Street. Turn right and the Museum is directly to your left on the corner of Hampton and Main.
US 76/378 from Sumter - US 76/378 will change from Sumter Highway to Garners Ferry Road to Devine Street. Devine will intersect with Harden Street at Five Points. Turn right onto Harden Street and follow Harden until you reach Hampton Street. Turn left onto Hampton Street. The Museum will be to your right on the corner of Hampton and Main.
I-77 from Charlotte - exit onto SC 277 toward Columbia. Stay on this freeway which becomes Bull Street. Follow Bull Street until it intersects with Hampton. Turn right and proceed until you reach Main Street. The Museum is on the corner of Hampton and Main.
