Because your gift matters. If every member gave just $15, the Museum could train more than 400 docents, paint 300 gallery walls, or provide over 4,000 children and families with games and activities to help them view art in a whole new way.

You appreciate art, and you value your community. A gift to the Annual Fund is an investment in the enrichment of your community. This past year alone, over 16,000 children in South Carolina benefited from the Museum’s education and outreach programs.

Because changing one child’s perspective on art is a pretty good return on your investment – all great artists start somewhere, and a little inspiration goes a long way.

Gifts to the Annual Fund are 100% tax deductible, and if your gift is received by December 31, you may be eligible for a 2011 tax deduction. Check with your tax advisor for details.

Gift through your IRA [Charitable Rollover]

The IRA Charitable Rollover is a wonderful opportunity for donors ages 70 1⁄2 and older to support the Museum directly from their IRA. Gifts up to $100,000 may be transferred directly to your charity of choice and count toward your minimum distribution for 2011. Your withdrawal will not be taxed as income and will directly support the Museum’s mission to inspire, educate and enrich lives through art.
