USC professor, Dr. Brad Collins lectures on the films of Andy Warhol, followed by a screening of “13 Most Beautiful… Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests” and an opportunity to create your own Warholesque screen test!
Andy Warhol, was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. Warhol is famous worldwide for his work and known for his membership in wildly diverse social circles that included bohemian street people, distinguished intellectuals, Hollywood celebrities and wealthy patrons. The film features 13 of Warhol’s classic silent, black and white film portraits including Nico, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick and Dennis Hopper.

Instructor: Dr. Brad Collins
Dr. Collins is an associate professor of art history at the University of South Carolina. On the subject of Warhol, he has written seven scholarly articles in preparation for a monograph. Collins received his B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College and his Ph.D. in art history from Yale University.
