Dinner with Monet


COLUMBIA, SC - The Columbia Design League celebrates the exhibition Impressionism from Monet to Matisse with a dinner inspired by Claude Monetís table on Sunday, March 17 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Columbia Museum of Art. Rosso Trattoriaís Chef Kristian Niemi used Monetís cooking journals to create a four-course menu with wine pairings.

Monet, a great gourmet, was as particular about his foods as he was his painting. The recipes collected in his cooking journals include dishes Monet had encountered in his travels or had come across in restaurants he frequented in Paris as well as recipes from friends, such as Cezanne's "bouillabaisse" and Millet's "petits pains."

The dinner is $80 / $70 CMA members / $60 CDL members.
