One Room School House: Historical HudsonMorning: 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon: 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Travel back in time to experience how art and history collide in the exhibition Nature and the Grand American Vision. In the studio, make your own leather goods. This program is designed especially for home-school children (ages 4 and up) and their parents.
This program combines an exploration of the galleries with a creative activity in the studio. Programs take place in the mornings and afternoons on the second Friday of each month, September through May. Parents are responsible for the care and supervision of children.

Passport to Art: Botanical BeautiesNoon - 3:00 p.m.
Create a botanical drawing based on images of animals, flora and fauna found Nature and the Grand American Vision and explore the exhibition on a self-directed or a docent-led family tour. (Please note: a special admission ticket is required to tour this exhibition.) The FREE monthly open studio program for families features creative and theme inspired hands-on art projects followed by self-guided tours of the Museum. #CMAfamily

Wee Wednesdays: Silly Self-Portraits!10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Learn about the structure of a portrait as we study the works of the photographer Richard Samuel Roberts. Then in the studios we will create a self-portrait but with a silly twist! Participants (ages 2-5) and their adult companions explore art through the introduction of elementary art terms such as color, line, shape and texture during the Wee Wednesday series.
- One adult and one child is $60 or $30 for Kids Plus! members and above for the spring season. Each additional child is $15.

One Room School House: Hudson Handmade10:00 a.m. OR 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy another session of Hudson Handmade, but with the focus on clay! After exploring Nature and the Grand American Vision, students in the studio will focus on making their own clay vessels. This program is designed especially for home-school children (ages 4 and up) and their parents.
- One adult and one child is $36or $18 for Kids Plus! members and above for the spring season. Each additional child is $15.

Passport to Art: Roberts Realm12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Create a story square based on clues from the photographs in the exhibition, Our Time, Our Place: Photographs of the Black South by Richard Samuel Roberts and take a family-friendly tour of the Gallery 15 installation. Look for animals in the galleries, using clay make a small animal to live in the terrarium you create!

Journey through American culture and discover the works of southern sculptor Edgar Alexander McKillop, then in the studios tap into your inner spirit and make an animal totem out of clay! Participants (ages 2-5) and their adult companions explore art through the introduction of elementary art terms such as color, line, shape and texture during the Wee Wednesday series.

Students will travel through the galleries looking and learning about decorative design. Then in the studios they will learn about printmaking as they create a printing plate and then make prints from it. This program is designed especially for home-school children (ages 4 and up) and their parents.

About Face Sketching 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
For centuries artists have studied existing artworks through sketching exercises, and the Columbia Museum of Art is an excellent resource for today's artists. Bring your pencil, crayon, pastel or charcoal or purchase them from the Museum Shop and sketch with membership affiliate group, About Face. About Face is a group of artists that share a figural model in the Museums studios. This group, representing a wide range of ages and abilities, offers a supportive and friendly atmosphere in which to hone artistic skills. #AboutFace
