Mechanical River is a mouthful. It's 6 syllables and doesn't well roll off the tongue. As a musician he has trouble sticking to one instrument, as a songwriter one genre, as a lyricist one voice resulting in vague ineffectivity. This quality very visibly imposes itself upon his life as well.
The Mobros are a three-man brotha band (two of them are actually related). Kelly and Patrick Morris' hometown currently is Camden, SC. Zack Slaughter has jumped board as the new bassist and currently attends SUNY Purchase in White Plains, NY. The Mobros originally started out as a two-man band Kelly on vocals and guitar, and Patrick on drums. Kelly and Patrick Morris are half Trinidadian which explains the calypso, and Island rhythms running through their veins, and inspires a lot of their music. The brothers's influences come from most African-American singers from the late 50s and on up. Really what you get from this trio is an original soul.
We're cousins and fell down the same well. We wrote songs in the well and when we got out we decided to play our well music.
It takes a special brand of talent to be both a crowd favorite and a musician’s musician; perhaps no one — locally, anyhow —
exemplifies that kind of gap-bridging talent better than Josh Roberts and the Hinges. Musically dynamic yet accessible,
lyrically poetic and fist-pump chant-worthy, the Hinges pack venues with their heady yet noodle-worthy tunes,
yet their cohesive tightness and stellar harmonies (not to mention Roberts’ heroic guitar playing) still leave the most hardened musicians slack-jawed.

The high hopping of Harpoon IPA is not only noticeable in the nose but especially in the finish. The lingering bitter finish of this beer is not harsh or astringent, but crisp and pronounced. This is created, in part, by dry hopping – a technique that involves adding fresh hops to the conditioning beer to provide a fresh hop aroma.
This beer is floral, medium body with an aggressive, clean hop finish.
